Although rather muddy at present, I love walking our dog here on a daily basis
Wildlife, deer and mouse today, trees and plants, what's not to like

A great place to be around nature and lovely for a dog walk. There are a number of paths leading around the reserve some of which cross over the road. In the winter the paths can get quite muddy so sensible footwear is advisable. There is a good sized car park which has the only bin for any dog waste or rubbish.

Amazing variety of mushrooms to look at. But signs say no picking. Watch for dog poo.

Shame it is mostly full canopy of trees, because not much natural sunlight filtering through, especially missed during the darker colder months.
Plenty of routes to wander along, but quite samey because of the closed canopy. Would benefit from a few cleanings being made so more diverse flora and fauna could develop.

A great place for family walks, dog walks and, it would appear, horse riding. Lots of different paths to choose from. I have trail maps on my phone which helped us around. Lovely place and will definitely be back again.

Absolutely fabulous place to walk with great parking options. Brilliant to walk my dog in, I can easily walk her for an hour and not see the same bit twice. Lots of space and light and some lovely variety in nature. Well marked out paths and can make a really long walk through the different areas or a short one too. On the north side, the common is suitable for families and pushchairs but some areas can get a bit muddy but there are still good flat paths to follow. Can also go down the slopes towards the south end and there are lovely waterways and tree lined areas but this is rather muddy. Just stunning, one of my favourite places to walk and I keep discovering new paths. Great throughout all seasons.

Great place for a walk, crossing over from the carpark there are numerous trails, some lead to abandoned buildings which made for a more adventurous and interesting walk. Not really any facilities here but lovely wooded paths and trials, great for dog walking but no poo bins on the walks, only in the carpark.

Beautiful place, I really enjoyed my walk there and will definitely go back many times. It's a nice woody area, fantastic place for nature lovers, very quiet and decent size. I would recommend it to anyone who want to wind down after a hectic day.
