The perfect wedding cake experience! We were looking for a modern twist on a traditional wedding cake and we turned to CakeBuds for inspiration. Liz took us through the whole design and taste experience end to end and really took the time to understand our brief. As part of the process Liz creates bespoke designs. Given I can be quite particular I was apprehensive as to the designs we would received however I needn’t have been. We were provided with detailed drawings which captured exactly what we were looking for. We discussed with Liz how we could blend some of these together and she created the perfect cake taking the time to work with us through the process. We were so happy with the mix of textures suggested that added depth and interest to our minimal design. Liz also had a wide choice of beautiful cake stands but she helped with sourcing a bespoke made stand which set her work of art off perfectly. Flavours of cake? We opted for three, and that was a hard decision as they were all absolutely exquisite and we haven’t tasted anything like them before or since! The cakes were moist and beautifully flavoured receiving many compliments on the day. We cannot recommended Cake Buds highly enough to anyone looking for something really unique and special.

Liz at Cakebuds produced the most stunning cake for my son's Christening celebrations. Liz made the entire process effortless and enjoyable for me. I am not the most creative person, but Liz reviewed some photos of the styles of cake I liked and then made it her own. I received a sketch of the proposed cake and it was incredible. I instantly said yes. As Liz is also producing my wedding cake later this year, I had ordered her samples box to try many of her delightful flavours. From here I decided to have 3 different flavours as they were all so good, I simply couldn't decide on one. The cake was delivered and set up at the venue and it was a show stopper. I couldn't believe how stunning it looked. The sketch was a true likeness but seeing it on the day... WOW, beyond stunning and the detail on the cake was something else. As my guests entered the room they all commented on how incredible the cake was. Once we cut the cake and guests tucked in, more compliments were made. Many saying it was by far the best cake they had ever eaten and second portions were distributed. I didn't get chance to take any cake home as it all went. Which is a true compliment to Liz. I can't thank Liz enough for her creative design, professionalism throughout, and the outstanding service you provided to me. You are beyond talented to create such a masterpiece. Liz made our wedding cake in December and it was perfect! It looked incredible and tasted amazing. Our flavours were vanilla and raspberry, chocolate orange and salted caramel. We knew as soon as we tried the tasting box we wanted to book Liz for our wedding as it was the best wedding cake we had tasted. Liz was really helpful in coming up with designs and ideas to match our scheme, and she was really lovely to work with. Liz sorted set up and delivery too. From the moment I saw Liz's instagram page, I knew she was the one for us. My husband and I didn't want a traditional wedding cake. We wanted a unique and contemporary take that reflects our style and personalities. Liz took her time during the consultation to understand our story, how we met and how we got engaged. She is very talented and so professional. All of the flavour we had were outstanding and her designs were exceptional. Liz made our wedding cake this summer and it was absolutely incredible. It was better than we could have imagined and looked perfect in the ballroom set up. She listened to all our random ideas and pulled them together to make the wedding cake we could only dream of! Liz was brilliant at helping us find a new date after a few postponements and also helped us with the modern cake stand that created an extra wow factor. All our guests and even our wedding planner said it was the best wedding cake they’ve ever seen and it also tasted amazing too! I found Liz on Google & after a quick look at her Instagram profile I knew I wanted her to make a wedding cake for mine and my now husband's big day. From initial contact, to the big day, Liz was amazing. She explained everything really clearly, took the time to get to know us at our tasting consultation, sent us detailed sketches and delivered the most beautiful and delicious cake that took my breath away when I saw it. Liz was friendly and communicative, and collaborating on the design was a fun process. She really listened to our ideas, and we were so happy with how things turned out, both visually and flavour wise. All of our guests agreed the dessert was a highlight of our day. We've saved the top tier for our anniversary and I can't wait to enjoy a slice of this cake again.
